We-Speak is for anyone who identifies as a victim, a survivor, a person who has experienced sexual violence of any kind, or for someone who is supporting another person. The purpose of We-Speak is to collect stories of struggle, strength, and healing to foster a community of hope for survivors. We believe that stories are powerful and can build understanding, cultivate empathy, and ultimately create change. Every story matters.
We want to hear your story in your own words. This may be a story of struggle, of pain, of emotion, of healing, of change, of growth. No matter what, this is your story, and you can tell it however you want. We are here to listen. Together we can create a wave of change.
We-Speak can only publish stories from those who are over 18. We also cannot publish stories related to child sexual abuse, current or historic. Any such stories which are submitted, will not be published, and may require us to report any child protection concern to appropriate authorities, as per the Children First National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017.
If you have been impacted by the stories on We-Speak, or by an experience in your life or in the life of someone close to you, please call the Freephone 24-Hour National Helpline on 1800 77 8888

The We-Speak platform is made possible by the anonymity of the stories submitted. This community can only grow and support it each other if all users do so in good faith and are conscious that any breach of anonymity, on another public platform of any kind, could jeopardise the existence of We-Speak into the future.
By Irish law, People have a right to their good name. This right is protected by defamation law. Defamation refers to a situation where a comment, statement or publication negatively affects a person’s reputation which can be made online or offline.
Contributors to the We-Speak website may also be active on social media. While it is very easy to publicise your own opinions and views on social media, please do not link what you upload to this site to your social media platforms. Think before you post as you may be affecting somebody else’s reputation. This could in turn have a negative impact on your own life, the life of another and on the We-Speak platform.
We trust that you will bear this in mind now and in the future, both on We-Speak and beyond, in order to empower this community to grow.

Without emails, you won't receive helpful resources, secure story removal links, or responses to information if you requested it from our team. Your safety is our priority. If you want to receive these emails, click Allow Emails.
