When I feel safe, Healing is undoing the pain by living the life I have, doing the things I missed out in life, things I've never allowed to experience before, being fully in control and never have to look over my shoulder in fear.

You as a Survivor are incredible. Only you know what your story is like. No body understands what it is truely like unless they have experienced it themselves. You are not alone. Other Survivors understand you better.Stay strong always and never let anyone discredit your story.

This poem by Rupi Kaur captures the essence of healing "What is stronger than a human heart which shatters over and over and still lives"

Healing to me is reminding myself that no matter what I never deserved this and I know the truth. The days I get consumed I remind myself that 8 months ago I was too afraid to leave my house, today and everyday I am stronger and will not allow anyone to determine my future. YOU ARE NOT WHAT HAPPEND TO YOU ❤️

I’m able to get out of bed, laugh with my friends, achieve great things and carry on with my life, when all of that felt impossible at one point.

Sexual assault is a spectrum. I think as young women we laugh off so much - bring catcalled from 12 or 13, being groped in clubs, mocked for pushing a guy off who won’t keep his hands of you. I’m so glad there is this space to share our stories <3

It doesnt last forever. You have had and will have so many amazing experiences in your life that will slowly but surely drown out the bad. And some day youll realise it doesnt really hurt so much any more and its all ok. I have got to that point and i just know you will get there too pet xo

Healing is the hardest part of being assaulted. Living with the guilt, shame and embarrassment makes it feel impossible. Speaking up and getting support allowed me to begin my healing journey. It’s not linear, but every day makes me stronger.

Everyday that passes is a day closer to healing and overcoming what happend to you

There is always light at the end of the tunnel. There is always hope as "hope is a thing with feathers." There is help out there and there is always someone willing to listen. Things always get better in the end, there is so much more to look forward to. You are not your past trauma. There is a future out there, waiting.
